OS Flashback: The Firm – Firm Biz

Although The Firm’s debut album was not well-received back in 1997, the group still lives in history for being the first super group created in rap. The brainchild of Nas, Steve Stoute, the Trackmasters and Dr. Dre ultimately flopped for not sticking to their roots and taking the more mainstream route, but tracks like “Affirmative Action” and “Phone Tap” might be some of the best collaborations between New York artists, of all time.

The Hype Williams-directed clip for the first single, “Firm Biz” is proof of their lack of critical acclaim, even if The Album ended up certified Gold when it was all said and done.

If only the Cormega situation would have worked out.
