Although the track exubirates a feeling of hope, it can also be interpreted as hopelessness, traveling the world alone without the one you love. In the video, he can be seen both with his soul mate and apart from her, saying he is nothing without her. The ups and downs, he’d take the burden of it all in order for love to return.
Fun. might be on a permanent hiatus, but Nate’s upcoming solo album might be enough to hold fans over until the group is back together again. He’s working with Emile and Jeff Bhasker for this new single, with background vocals assisted by Lykke Li and riffs from Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer.
