Mister Cee’s “Throwback At Noon” (The Firm)

frmz

In 1996 when Dr. Dre parted ways with Suge Knight and Death Row Records, he launched his Aftermath imprint. Looking for a fresh start, he helped form the NYC super-group with Nas, AZ, Foxy Brown, Nature and Cormega known as The Firm. Sadly the group only released one project, with their Mafioso-themed 1997 effort The Album that received mixed reviews.

Don’t be alarmed though if you’re thinking the entire playlist from DJ Mister Cee below is just the album. The Brooklynite plays the crews most popular tracks they shared during the mid-90s that spanned into the early 2000s. While it’s unlikely we’ll ever see a sophomore follow-up album (hopefully inspiration?), we’re still praying Escobar and the Aziatic one blesses the fans with their long-awaited collaborative project we’ve been waiting on for the last decade.

After the jump, stream some classics from the short-lived QU-BK collective.
