Remember when we first learned about Mario’s fifth studio album Evolve some years ago? Well the original collaborative project with producer Rico Love will not be releasing due to a major owning rights to the project. However, that doesn’t mean the Baltimore singer-songwriter isn’t working to give fans a new full-length LP and nationwide tour, as he’s just launched his own music imprint Rivers Media Group.
Following the release of his “Fireball” single, he stopped by Power 105 in NYC for a sit-down with The Breakfast Club to discuss his plans this year. Throughout the 20-minute sit-down, he touched on remaining independent for the time being to give fans new singles in the midst of his label compilation project due out sometime this year. Watch more from the conversation, which he reveals wanting to work with the likes of Beyoncé, Kanye West and G.O.O.D. Music, Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran and Rae Sremmurd, as well as his relationship with his mother.
