Family problems

The Lil Wayne vs. Cash Money Records feud is rearing its ugly head after a public battle has been ongoing for a few months.

It looks like Weezy is taking things to court to have it settled there, suing Birdman for $8 million dollars because that’s what he says is owed as an advance for Tha Carter V. With the album pushed back and delayed, all Tunechi wants is to be released from the label, so he’s taking drastic measures to make it happen.

While talks of a settlement have broken down, Wayne says withholding the album from release is a violation of his contract, even though Birdman has said he would release it “in due time.”

Lil Wayne will continue releasing music outside of the Cash Money imprint, much like he did with brand new Sorry 4 The Wait 2 mixtape, where he fired shots and spoke on the situation on various tracks. Only time will tell how the court rules.
