On New Year’s Day, Kanye West started 2015 with the release of his Mike Dean co-produced single “Only One,” featuring Paul McCartney (and Ty Dolla $ign on background vocals). While it was rumored the legendary Beatles member was set to co-produce his entire upcoming fifth studio album, those rumors were soon debunked.
Over the weekend, Yeezy held a private listening session in Los Angeles to premiere unheard music from his much-anticipated project – which fellow Chicago mates Consequence and King Louie were on hand for the big event. In the same time span, he appeared on Rihanna’s new single “FourFiveSeconds” alongside Paul McCartney to start the Roc Nation singer’s campaign for her highly-anticipated R8 LP.
With Ellen celebrating her birthday the entire week, she took time to reveal on her website that Kanye West would be stopping by later this week to discuss his upcoming fifth studio album, Good Life. This marks an immediate follow-up to Big Sean’s Instagram announcement reveal earlier for third studio album, Dark Sky Paradise.
