Jimmy Henchman Receives Second Life Sentence for Murder of G-Unit’s Lodi Mack

The family of Lowell Fletcher gets some closure following federal ruling

Exactly 10 years ago, 50 Cent and G-Unit were the peak of their careers, having back-to-back diamond certified albums with Get Rich or Die Tryin’ and The Massacre. Coincidentally, Curtis also couldn’t escape his previous street problems that followed him from Southside, Jamaica Queens to the forefront of hip-hop.

While dealing with public issues with Kenneth McGriff and Supreme Team (real deeper than rap), he would have an unfortunate internal feud with rapper The Game, who at the time was managed by James Rosemond. Both sides would soon call a truce to prevent any Déjà vu seen with Tupac Shakur and Frank White in the past (see: Hot 97 shooting), but both sides couldn’t hold back their war of words.

Two years later, Tony Yayo and G-Unit street affiliate Lowell “Lodi Mack” Fletcher would cross paths with Henchman’s 14-year-old son at the time, resulting in a physical altercation. While an immediate action didn’t happen at the time (due to alphabet boys monitoring the situation), the Bronx blood member was later killed in October of 2009. Already under an intense investigation for cocaine trafficking, money laundering and witness tampering allegations, Henchman remained silently linked to the situation.

During 2013, Rosemond was sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole. On February of 2014, a trial for Lodi’s unsolved case began, which resulted in 35 witnesses testifying during the court hearings. Last December, he was found guilty on all murder-for-hire chargers of Mr. Fletcher, which Manhattan Judge Colleen McMahon gave him an additional life sentencing, plus 20 years in the closed case.
