Last year, Jared Evan & Statik Selektah teamed up for the second time to release the follow up to their impressive Boom Bap & Blues album with Boom Bap & Blues 2: Still Blue. The duo have already dropped off three music video releases in support of the project and today, they’re back with a new visual for “Bass Is Low” that stars Taryn Manning, co-star of the critically-acclaimed Orange Is the New Black Netflix Original series.
The Rik Cordero-directed narrative, sees Jared and Taryn pulling up to a discreet location, where Taryn then enters the assumed abandoned location alone, leaving Jared in the car. After awakening from his sleep to his lady not being back, he goes inside to investigate what’s going on. Soon as he steps in, he’s greeted by some ladies who are a bit touchy-feely all over him. After further examining the building, he comes across all types of other wild things including druggies, Jimi Hendrix, before linking back up with his girl.
