In the midst of the Drake and Meek Mill beef, ghostwriting has been one of the many topics discussed from various reference tracks. One of our forefathers, Ice Cube sat down with the cast of Straight Outta Compton to discuss whether or not it mattered in music. He surprisingly said that creating a record requires a compete team, in a sense of building a house. The only thing he expects for rappers to do is make quality music, including if they receive ideas in writings. However, he did insist that he does give extra credit to those who write their own lyrics – being a pursuit of the culture. Watch more from the interview above.
