2014 hasn’t gone a week without something new from Young Thug. He apparently has been in the studio with Kanye, and seems to either drop or be featured on a new song every day. The latest bit of news about Thug comes straight from NBA All-Star weekend in New Orleans, where Mass Appeal caught up with the young Atlanta spitter. They asked him the question that everyone has been wondering, if he has signed with Birdman and Cash Money Records. Thug simply replied with, “Yeah, I signed.” According to the report, the impromptu interview happened during a very busy part of the night, but it is clear in saying that Thug revealed signing with the legendary label.
The signing would make a lot of sense, considering Thug and Birdman have been hanging out a ton in the recent weeks (at least according to Birdman’s Instagram). Thug has also stated that Lil Wayne is one of his mentors in the rap game, so that connection is also strong. This of course doesn’t make the signing official, because Thug has also been rumored to signing with Future‘s label Freebandz and Gucci Mane’s 1017. We wonder if Thug will make the cut for the upcoming Young Money album that is dropping in March, though? Chances are, he will.

But he did perk up when I asked him if he officially signed to Cash Money. “Yo, is it official now? Are you signed to Cash Money?” Young Thug immediately turned away from about 50 flashing lights, searched for the dude who asked him what seemed to be the dumbest question in the world, and said, “Yeah. I signed.”
