GABRL – Here’s a Mixtape

Florida is becoming quite a hot bed for hip-hop talent, and one of the most promising emcees coming out of the area is GABRL. He had been quiet for nine months before he released his Here’s a Mixtape project a few days back, and it’s definitely an impressive effort from the FLA upstart. He oozes confidence through his honest rhymes, letting listeners into his life and his upbringing in the infamous Broward County. There’s definitely some slappers on here, with a couple joints that I could definitely hear Drizzy on if the stars align (see “Who” and “Anthum”). Overall, a cohesive and well-done project from start to finish.
