At this point, we’ve heard Eminem‘s life story through his songs and interviews throughout the course of his career. There hasn’t really been a documentary about Marshall Mathers, besides news reports that we’ve caught in the decade he’s been in the game.

Not Afraid: The Shady Records Story talks to those close to Em, including 50 Cent, Dr. Dre, Paul Rosenberg, Royce Da 5’9″ to talk about his rise to the game and how he became one of the biggest rappers of all time. From Detroit to Hollywood, building Shady Records, all the ups and downs of the industry and how he’s managed to stay relevant throughout generations.

Although Proof’s death put a halt on the momentum the label had gained, the signing of Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf has reinvigorated Em’s desire to sign and push artists.
