Curren$y Talks Staying True To Himself on “Canal Street Confidential” Album

As long time fans of Curren$y, we all know that all he wants to do is smoke his weed, work on cars a bit, make rider tunes, perform for his fans here and there and live a happy life. Taking his talents to the majors was tough, but he’s starting to realize that there’s nothing wrong to having a machine backing you. Although he was always used to doing things himself, with the help of Atlantic Records, he is starting to see the light.

This couldn’t be any more apparent than in this interview with Mass Appeal where he talks about the upcoming Canal Street Confidential album. During the conversation, he speaks on how he cooked up “Botttom Of The Bottle,” after the label wanted him to make a ‘radio track’ and even though he was against it first, it just so happened he got some of his homies on there and he just happened to stay true to himself and still make something catered for radio.
