Last evening rising Brooklyn rapper Ackquille “Bobby Shmurda” Pollard and several other members of the GS9 gang were arrested at Quad Recording Studios in New York City, directly connected to an investigation into drug trafficking, shootings and street violence in Brooklyn.

During the raid, officers seized over twenty handguns, two of which, were allegedly found on Shmurda when they arrested him after leaving the studio. Also found on Shmurda during the bust was a small amount of crack cocaine in the car in which he was in. The raid is a result of long-term investigation conducted by the Brooklyn South Violence Reduction Task Force and Office of the Special Narcotics unit.

Shmurda plead not guilty to gun and narcotics charges, and is being held on $2 million bail. If found guilty on all charges, the 20 year-old rapper faces a mandatory minimum 10 years of prison, punishable by up to life.
