Alessia is an artist you’ll be hearing a lot more from, based on her voice and the fact she just signed to Def Jam. The 18-year old singer from Brampton, Ontario, has released her new single “Here” this week. She describes it as a song for the “antisocial, awkward, and miserable party-goers of the world,” driven by her experiences. It was produced by Pop and Oak and Sebastian Kole, sampling the classic “Glory Box” from Portishead’s debut album, Dummy.
