Fools Gold!
It’s been a little quiet for A-Trak lately, but he’s getting prepared to hit the road on the Gold Gone Wild 2 tour, plus there’s probably a number of projects he’s working on at the moment, besides him DJ’ing throughout the country. Live from Mysteryland USA, he had the chance to briefly chat about what he’s got going on and some topics affecting music today.
Among those, he spoke on how Soundcloud can fall by the wayside if they don’t get their business together, and find a way to become financially sustainable. This came after being asked what he thinks of Sony pulling artists from their platform. He said the streaming service has a nice community of people who like to discover music on there and it would be a shame to see it go.
He also spoke on how frustrating it is to clear samples for an album, how DJ and dance culture has changed in the past few years and he even had a few words for David Letterman.
