The OG Too $hort has been making music since the ’80s and he’s still out here dropping club bangers, as seen in his recently released “19,999” single.
Complex caught up with him during a visit through Fairfax Ave in Los Angeles as he got a shave and shopped around a little bit. During his talk, he explained how shocked he is that “Blow The Whistle” is still popping nine years after the fact, how his success was different than others because he always his own boss and he even caught up with Stevie Williams for a bit to talk about how they met and started hanging out.
Funny enough, he calls out rappers and asks who will be the first 50 year old rapper with a hit and acknowledges that after his 20th album, he says his solo records might be a wrap. Stay tuned for $hort Dog’s 19,999 EP, which drops on November 4.
