Following recent key roles in the likes of The Spectacular Now, That Awkward Moment and Divergent, Miles Teller is establishing himself as one of the most promising actors. Next up is an appearance in Damien Chazelle’s Whiplash.
The film focuses on the career of a young jazz drummer looking to become one of the greats. Fairly reminiscent of Natalie Portman’s role in Black Swan, the character is fiercely pushed beyond his limits and struggles to cope under an indignant band conductor. Due to the constant pressure he is under, the musician also struggles to maintain a healthy relationship with his significant other.
Look out for the movie to hit theaters on October 10th.
