Terrence Howard’s Comedic Explanation About His Oscars Presentation

You a series is on the run when people you never even expected would watch the show, talk about it. EMPIRE is doing the unthinkable this season, growing after each episode. Especially in today’s TV landscape, that’s practically unheard of.

Lucious Lyon, better known as Terrence Howard and the main character on the FOX hit, stopped by The Tonight Show to talk about his role on the series and how he got the part in the first place. He has Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) to thank, because she told the bosses that she wasn’t going to do the show if Howard wasn’t a part of it.

Obviously the plan worked because now FOX has a smash on their hands and it doesn’t look to be slowing down any time soon.

Even more hilarious, Jimmy Fallon asked Terrence about his Academy Award trophy presentation and he explained what happened when he tried to memorize his whole presentation before going up there. The play by play when Jimmy showed him the playback of his segment was pure comedy. We caught him hitting the mic at the time too, but had no idea it actually happened since the camera cut away from him at that moment. Straight hilarity.
