Although the new album’s out, 50 Cent continues his Animal Ambition.

Over the weekend, 50 Cent’s executive produced drama series Power premiered on Starz Networks and was greeted with good reviews and critical acclaim. After the pilot finished with a 1.27 million viewership rating on Saturday evening and its intriguing storyline for the future, Starz wasted no time revealing today the series will be returning next year for a 2nd season. Power’s inaugural season is set to feature only 8 episodes for its initial run, but production will begin this September with a 10-episode order for season two.

No news has surfaced whether Power’s season 2 will premiere next summer or be included for the Winter 2015 scheduling at the top of next year, but fans should have security relief knowing the show isn’t going anywhere for the time being.
