Nearly two years since its filming completion and a Venice Film Festival premiere over the summer, She’s Funny That Way will finally be arriving to theaters later this spring. The upcoming comedy-drama film focuses on Izzy, a mid-20s NYC call-girl, who has a one-night stand with Broadway director, Arnold.
After their sexual rendezvous, Arnold offers Izzy $30K to never do profession ever again – which she uses for acting school. A few weeks pass by with Arnold less stressed, but that all changes when a familiar face shows up to his theater – Izzy. The former prostitute tuned actress, coincidentally sees her role on Broadway playing a hooker.
While the two try to avoid each other in every possible way, when they’re not around the same stage together, awkward dinners and other leisure affairs soon unexpectedly happen with their inner-circle of friends – which is smaller than they think. Whether or not Izzy and Arnold can keep their one night stand a secret remains to be seen, but the two will try in their best to hide the sexual chemistry away from his wife and their friends.
