Last year, Rihanna submitted an application to the U.S. Trademark and Patent Office for an official trademark of the name Robyn. The 27-year-old singer, whose real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, envisioned of using her legal name to launch an online feature magazine venture. DC Comics, however felt the name was too similar to Dark Knight’s sidekick, Robin – citing people might be confused with similarities. The Warner Bros. subsidiarity company filed an official opposition to the trademark, which RiRi now has 40 days to respond to their claims.
