Rosamund Pike is more insane than ever in Return to sender!
Since her Academy Award-worthy performance in Gone Girl last year, UK actress Rosamund Pike has become one Hollywood’s biggest actors in just 12 months. The former Bond girl assumes her next role in the new psychological drama-thriller Return to Sender. Looking for excitement in her ordinary life of being a small-town nurse, Miranda is set to have her first blind date in years with mutual acquaintance Shiloh Fernandez.
However, before the two go out, a domestic occurrence happens leaving Miranda raped and Shiloh sent to prison for his crime. During his stint upstate, she surprisingly writes him letters but they’re mysteriously returned unopened – which prompts her to regularly visit and strike an unlikely friendship with her attacker.
Whether Miranda is out to get revenge for the actions of Fernandez upon his release from prison remains to be seen. You can look for Return to Sender in theaters this May 22nd, for Pike’s latest thriller gem.
