Ani checks in from the set
True Detective season two has come out to the disappointment of most, who were anticipating something similar to last season. Although the cast is top notch, there’s something that seems to be missing from this season because it doesn’t have the spark it did. At least not yet.
One of the bright spots might have to be sexy and bad-ass Rachel McAdams, who plays the role of Ani Bezzerides on the show. In this interview with HBO, she details why Ani is the way she is (from her childhood and relationship with her father, to how she treats Ray Velcoro) and how even though she plays a jaded cop, she truly has a good heart deep down inside.
True Detective is only three episodes in, so you can still catch up to the new season if you haven’t started yet. Hopefully it gets better as the season moves forward.
