Thirst traps 101
We’ve known about Niykee Heaton for some time, but it’s been more for her Instagram than her musical talents. Although she’ll post some of that on her page here and there, that’s not really what leaves us stuck or coming back for more. No shots, of course.
Either way, she talked to Complex recently about the attention she’s been getting on the social network, how men always reach out to “make music” but always have ulterior motives, why she doesn’t let the hate get to her and more. As far as dating anyone, the 20-year old Chicago native says things are dry, but she rather be a cat lady than be on Tinder. For the moment, she’s just concentrating on her and the career she’s been wanting, so lookout for more music from her to drop soon.
Do you ever worry that people will know you more for your photos than your music?
If I can use what I have aesthetically to draw people in, then why not use it? I’m not going to put on a turtleneck just to prove a point, or to make people feel more comfortable according to society’s standards. If people think I’m hot, cool. They’ll come and look at my bikini pics, and then they’ll click on my Soundcloud, and love my music.
