You may notice Jake Gyllenhaal looks a little different for his role in Nightcrawler. That’s because he lost around 20lbs in order to play an aspiring journalist.
In a teaser for Dan Gilroy’s forthcoming directorial, the lead character named Louis Bloom attempts to find a job by discussing his strengths and beliefs through a video resume. Pitching to a number of employers, we find out more about his passion to work hard for success and his decision to learn and grow into an established career. Briefly displayed in the clip, the film is about a young man finding a way into crime journalism, set in the heart of Los Angeles.
Good things come to those who work their asses off, and we’ll find out more when it hits theaters on October 17th.
