Microsoft Releases FREE Windows 10 Upgrade

Hate Windows 8? Upgrade to Windows 10 Right Now!

If you own a Microsoft device with Windows 7 or 8.1, the official Windows 10 upgrade has finally launched. While some have even touted Windows 8 as the worst OS ever (ahead of Vista), the new OS jump takes users only 30-minutes to install. The only requirements you’ll need are a 1GHz processor, 1GB of RAM (2GB for the 64-bit version) and 20GB of free space on your hard drive. The entire download is 5GB in total, which will deliver long-awaited Cortana browser and an upgrade in modern apps from his predecessor.

Although you can migrate all of your data and re-install previous programs, our advice would be taking the jump with a clean install. However, it would be in your best interest to update all hardware drivers, run disk defragmentation/optimization/cleanup, install all Windows updates; and most of all, a complete virus sweep.

Those of you doing a clean install, should transfer all files, confidential and important information to an external disc or drive before you boot up Windows 10. Get full details on upgrading below.
