Marvel To Release “Captain America 3” Same Day As “Batman Vs. Superman”

Let the comic book wars begin! Marvel is ready to battle with DC come 2016 it appears, as they have placed the official release date on Captain America 3 on May, 5 2016. This is of course the same release date of the much-anticipated DC film, Batman vs. Superman. At first, it was unknown which Marvel film would occupy this date to go up against the DC mega-blockbuster; but now we know it will be the one and only Captain America. Of course, Captain America 2: The Winter Solider is set to drop this April, and if it does well at the box office (which it is expected to), we could have a real battle in front of us in 2016.

So, while almost everyone wanted the next Superman film to go up against Avengers 2, it just wasn’t meant to be. It is interesting though that Marvel would put a franchise like Captain America up against both Batman and Superman. Guess they are feeling bold.

Which film are you more looking forward too? Is Marvel smart to keep this release date?
