Three Marvel films to release every year until 2019

Over the summer, Marvel Studios gave fans a massive pressing to reveal dates for 5 new non-announced movies at the time. Through 2019, we learned the studio would be releasing three new films each year, highlighted by Captain America 3 and Avengers: Age of Ultron.

The studio saw much success landing nabbing two of the top five highest grossing films this year, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy – which totaled their revenue for over $1.5 billion. Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson’s big blockbuster release Avengers: Age of Ultron is still scheduled to hit theaters on May 1, 2015; but we have news regarding the other releases set to impact in the coming years.

The third installment in the Avengers series will be a two part series: Avengers: Infinity War on May 4, 2018 followed by Avengers: Infinity War (Part Two) on May 3, 2019. Black Panther (November 3, 2017), Captain Marvel (July 6, 2018), Doctor Strange (November 4, 2016), and Inhumans (November 2, 2018) are also among the newly announced crop of films to invade box offices in the coming years.
