Even though we haven’t thought about it much because it was still months away when they announced it, we’re lowkey excited for the new season of Masters of Sex. Mainly because of Lizzy Caplan (shoutout to Caitlin Fitzgerald aka Libby Masters too). It’ll be interesting to see where Virgina and Dr. Masters take their study, especially a few breakthroughs and setbacks in both their work and personal lives.
Vanity Fair caught up with Caplan in a new episode of Off Camera With Sam Jones to find out how she got her start in acting and she explains that it happened by accident. She actually went to a school for piano and ended up dropping that because she was so lazy, so she picked up drama as last resort. Fast forward to now and she’s successful and accomplished. Good thing she stuck with it, right?
Season 3 of Masters of Sex returns to Showtime on July 12.
