John Stamos Makes Official Announcement for “Full House” Netflix Reboot

Fuller House arrives 2016 on Netflix!

Earlier this month, reports surfaced that an official Full House reboot was soon to hit Netflix. While details for the pending show were previously confidential, John Stamos shared some big news regarding the future digital series on Jimmy Kimmel Live. During the Monday night interview, Stamos confirmed that a new 13-episode series Fuller House would be arriving to Netflix in 2016, where he’s set to produce and guest star on the spin-off.

The new show will start with a one-hour reunion episode and will have a special appearance from both Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen – confirmed by Netflix. The new spin-off is set to feature Candace Cameron-Bure (DJ Tanner) and her three kids, alongside her sister Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie) and neighbor Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibbler).

“As big fans of the original Full House, we are thrilled to be able to introduce Fuller House’s new narrative to existing fans worldwide, who grew up on the original, as well as a new generation of global viewers that have grown up with the Tanners in syndication,” said Cindy Holland, vice president of original content for Netflix, in a statement. “The continued support of Full House fans of all ages for the last 28 years has been astounding,” executive producers Robert L. Boyett, Thomas L. Miller and Jeff Franklin said in a statement. “It is an honor and a thrill to catch up with these beloved characters and explore their lives today. The love you saw on the show was real. The cast has remained a loving family off screen all these years. We are as excited as our fans to finally bring Full House back to life.”

Thank you to my sweet @loriloughlin for doing a bit on Kimmel with me today. XO
