Imagine being one of the people left behind?
With so many HBO shows nearing their end, are you ready for yet another new series to hit the network? Starting on June 15 after the season finale of Game of Thrones, the first of ten episodes of The Leftovers will explore the premise of The Rapture, where 2% of the world’s population vanished from the face of the earth. That means 140 million people ceased to exist with the blink of an eye. The show will follow the remaining people who are left to populate and how the world will never be the same.
The series is based on Tom Perrotta’s novel of the same name and is co-created by LOST‘s own Damon Lindelof. Among those starring in the series include Justin Theroux, Liv Tyler, Amy Brenneman, and Christopher Eccleston.
The Leftovers premieres on HBO June 15 at 10 PM.
