No Tip Harris, but get ready for ATL in 2016!

Since it was first revealed Donald Glover was leaving NBC’s Community to focus on a music career, we always knew he’d return to television one day. Now, FX Networks has given previously announced project, Atlanta, an official green light for a 10-episode season one order.

The half-hour series, which stars Gambino as well, will revolve around two cousins who are looking to gain entrance in ATL’s rap music scene. Brian Tyree Henry, Lakeith Lee Stanfield and Zazie Beetz have been tapped as co-stars for the comedy, as Paul Simms will help Glover with executive producer duties. Look for the series premiere of Atlanta on FX sometime in 2016.
