“Beasts Of No Nation” Netflix Movie Trailer

As fans of True Detective (well, the first season anyway), we know for damn sure that director Cary Fukunaga played a huge role in how the series was brought to life by the simple fact that the second season (which he did not direct a single episode, just served as executive producer) is much different than the first.

Whatever the reasons why he wasn’t behind the lens in season two of the HBO series, at the least we know he’s been hard at work with the film Beasts of No Nation.

The Netflix Original Film is about a West African boy who is turned into a rebel fighter after he witnesses the death of his entire family during a Civil War. As you can see in the clip, he is put to the test by the leader of the army, being asked to kill someone from the opposition. The movie is based on Uzodinma Iweala‘s book and stars Golden Globe winner Idris Elba.

Interestingly enough, the film will premiere on the streaming service and in select theaters nationwide simultaneously on October 16, and will screen at the Venice and Toronto Film Festivals in September, prior to the release.

This looks like a must-watch.
