Apple Reportedly Planning Original Video Content

Netflix, Hulu and Amazon have new shocking competition!

Next Wednesday, Apple will finally hold their keynote event to reveal the new Apple iPhone 6s and their next-generation Apple TV model. While the talk has been around the new smartphone, our attention has now shifted to the new TV set-top-box, which is now set to feature original programming in the very near future.

From a recent face-off with Taylor Swift, to its TV subscription service being delayed to 2016 earlier this summer, Apple is now set to step into the original digital series arena with Netflix, Amazon and Hulu for their upcoming new base model. It’s unknown whether the company will follow in its competitors footsteps for a monthly subscription model or simply make shows available on iTunes individually (bad idea in our opinion) we’re hopeful Apple TV is combined with original programming in comparison to Beats 1 Radio.

After seeing the success of Orange is the New Black, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Daredevil and House of Cards on Netflix, Apple has been in negotiations with production companies and networks for future programming. The fourth-generation model is also rumored to cost $200 and will be available this October at retailers.

We’ll keep you updated throughout the week if anymore early news surfaces before the big event next month.
