Amazon continues taking over
2-day will seem like a thing of the past after people start getting up on Prime Now. Amazon has just rolled out the service in New York City to one zip code so far, 10001 near the Empire State building. You can order every day items through the app and it will be delivered to your doorstep within one hour for $7.99 or you can wait an additional hour and have it delivered for free.
The service is available from 6 a.m. to midnight, 7 days a week and Amazon says it plans to roll out the service to other cities in the coming year.
Of course, this is Amazon’s way to boost Prime subscriptions, considering you can only use the new service with a membership. Just this year, they raised the price of Amazon Prime from $79 to $99 dollars, even though subscribers can enjoy free 2-day shipping, Amazon Instant Video and other perks with the subscription.
