Adidas Makes $200 Million Bid to Acquire James Harden from Nike

With the uncertainty regarding the health of Derrick Rose, Damian Lillard stuck in Portland for lottery-bound years following the departure of LaMarcus Aldridge and John Wall surrounding by mediocre talent in Washington – Adidas is looking for star power for the first time since distancing themselves from Kobe Bryant.

After losing Stephen Curry to Under Armour, we’re not sure if Nike will be willing to part ways with Houston Rockets superstar, James Harden. Adidas how now offered the Rockets superstar a $200 million deal over the next 13 years, in their attempt to lure him away from Nike. At the present, Harden doesn’t have his own signature shoe under the Nike brand, which Adidas will provide for him upon the contract signature.

With a new relationship alongside Khloe Kardashian, Harden now has star power in the states that European-based company is looking for. Currently, James is entering the 3rd year of his $78 million dollar contract with Houston, as this blockbuster shoe deal along with other endorsements will worth more than his time on the court. Following their $1 billion dollar uniform deal with the NBA to become the official apparel provider, Nike has some major decision making to do whether or not they want to move forward with the beard.
