Is Sony in trouble following massive Xbox One price-drop?

Following two price cuts and numerous bundles over Black Friday, Microsoft has finally propelled Xbox One into the number one selling North American and United Kingdom console this holiday. Wii-U saw an increase in hardware sales over 10 percent and software sales up 90 percent – largely contributed to Super Smash Bros.

To no surprise, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Grand Theft Auto were the top two games for the month, but Assassin’s Creed: Unity severely underperformed in charting, finishing 9th overall. Halo: The Master Chief Collection squeaked into the charts, but the online community has been very frustrated with it, citing match-matching has never worked. Whether Microsoft is able to edge out Sony for the holiday 2014 crown remains to be seen, but the various bundles and cheaper price point is giving users more incentive to jump in.
