“Resident Evil HD” Debut Trailer

With PAX Prime coming to an end last night, Capcom revealed a next-gen Resident Evil will be arriving in early 2015. Although original director Shinji Mikami is now gone from the company, producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi will be involved to capture the classic thrills we’ve been missing over the last few years. Originally announced last month, Capcom has now provided an official trailer, showcasing the obvious visual enhancements and new environments we can expect.

Fans of the 2002 classic remake on GameCube, have been waiting for a true next-generation upgrade for nearly a decade. Unfortunately, the Nintendo audience will be out of luck this time around, as R.E. will be releasing only for PC, as well as both Sony and Microsoft consoles.

Along with the digital-only release seeing full 1080p support and 5.1 surround sound, fans can look forward to new and classic control settings when the title arrives in the coming months.
