television is changing in front of our eyes

With Sling TV making its launch already and Apple plotting their own online TV streaming service, Sony is already on deck with their version of a television platform. Playstation Vue combines live and on-demand TV, as well as a DVR service that is saved to a cloud, so you can stream some of your favorite shows and movies without needing a cable subscription.

The design looks simple and effective, making it easy to search for programs and store them in the cloud for up to 28 days without any conflicts.

As of now, the Playstation Network service has only launched in New York City, Chicago and Philadelphia, but more cities are scheduled to be coming soon. Support for iPad is also on the way.

There are currently three packages you can purchase (Access, Core and Elite), with each bringing more channels than the next. The most basic package is $49.99 and includes FOX, CBS, TNT, MTV, Nickelodeon and CNN, with other channels like NBC, FX, Cartoon Network, VH1, Fox Sports 1, NBC Sports, USA, TBS and others included in the higher packages.
