Sony sets a new landmark for its fastest selling console!
For whatever reason, Microsoft and Sony still need to remind their consumers about console sales this fourth quarter, with multiple announcements. After defeating the PlayStation 4 last month for the time nearly all year in North America, MS boosted that Xbox was the highest selling console for October – largely thanks to the release of Halo 5 and its bundles.
However, Sony decided to announce that the console has sold over 30 million PS4 consoles in total, which is up for 20 million last March. While the Xbox One hard numbers weren’t released after their number one-selling month, the PlayStation 4 moved over 10 million units in just seven months.
The Japanese-based console developer went to say “PS4 continues to demonstrate the fastest and strongest growth in PlayStation hardware history.”
