Microsoft To Premiere DirectX 12 On March 20th

Earlier today, Microsoft teased the long-awaited overhaul for PC users, with announcing DirectX 12 would finally debut at the upcoming 2014 Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. Sadly we’re not expecting Windows 7 support for the imminent unveiling of Windows’ next graphics API (application programming interface), as most PC gamers will finally give into Windows 8 later this year; until Windows 9 of course.

An interesting note we see HERE is the inclusion of not only AMD; but Intel, Nvidia and Qualcomm are also shown in preparations for the big presentation. Since November, the console gamers have been privileged to boast about having two of the best looking games not on PC being Killzone: Shadow and the deploy of NBA 2K14 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The next-generation for DX technology will soon be splashing to the masses in a few days, which remind all why the best visual experiences will be on PC’s for the foreseeable future. Stay tuned for more news leading up to March 20th’s GDC at 1pm ET.
