Earlier this week, the long-awaited Microsoft Halo: The Master Chief Collection released to the public. While some have been reluctant to make a purchase the initial week of due to match-making issues and variety of other bugs for the online world of Halo, it’s been very hard for even some casual players to hold off initial purchase.

With Halo 5: Guardians on track for a 2015 release next holiday, many gamers are solely purchasing the collection to enjoy their favorite titles over the years from the series in 1080p and 60fps; but most of all, the official Guardians Beta next month and Nightfall. 343 Industries and Xbox Entertainment Studios (now defunct) have joined London-based production company Scott Free Productions to create Halo: Nightfall.

The 5-part series takes place between the events of Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardians (or, the present), serving as a prelude to the upcoming Steven Spielberg-directed Halo: The Television Series – which will premiere on Showtime next fall. Before fans get that live-action series this time next year, episode one for Halo: Nightfall is now available, to welcome us all to the world of Sendra.

To watch the entire series, you must purchase the newly released Halo collection and have Xbox One, Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone devices to gain exclusive access to Nightfall. The HALO channel app is now available for free to queue episodes right now and will have new shows available every Monday.
