R&B sensation, August Alsina stopped by Power 105 to visit “The World’s Most Dangerous Morning Show”, The Breakfast Club. In the interview, he opens up on early musical influences citing Sister Act 2 as a big inspiration for pursuing a musical career. He quickly signed to Def Jam and opened up about wanting initially to sign with YMCMB, but had to take a solo route and make a big career decision. August opened up about his past history in New Orleans losing some very close family members, but the 21-year-old has had success this year with his debut single “I Luv This Shit” hitting the Billboard charts. After taking it to the Bay Area with Iamsu!, August Alsina moves to Atlanta for another remix of his single “Numb,” featuring B.o.B and Yo Gotti. If the current trend continues, we can expect more remixes from the rising R&B singer real soon.
That baby making music is in full effect, as August Alsina jumps on Kirko Bangz “Rain Down” for the official Progression 3 remix. August adds a nice touch and is sure to put people on to his music who might not yet be on.
Newcomer August Alsina has been one of the dope new finds in music for 2013, so it’s only right that for his official “I Luv This Shit (Remix)” he grabs R&B veterans Chris Brown & Trey Songz for the assist. Heading into the weekend this might move to the top our playlist to jam out too, as all three artists bring some crazy energy to the track. We can’t wait to see what August does next in his young career.
August Alsina has made quite a name for himself of late with his signing to Def Jam and some very strong releases. One of his standout tracks, “I Luv This Shit,” gets the official g-mix today from none other and Birdman. As expected Stunna swag talks his way to a dope ass verse on this cut. Expect a ton more big things from August in the near future.
August Alsina is part of the new wave of young dope R&B artists on the scene, and today the Def Jam signee releases his highly anticipated mixtape The Product 2. For the tape August calls on Juelz Santana, Curren$y, The-Dream, Roscoe Dash and more for features. The production is also solid throughout the entire tape.
